Malls
I’ve decided, I open a shop. But where ?.... The question is not entirely secondary. Even the most innovative business idea may not achieve the expected success if it is presented to the public in the wrong location. Because the store, as we have frequently said in these pages, is a key component of "doing business". Most areas are downtown and in shopping centers, location is not always suitable for all retailers. It is true that the so-called "planned mall" has experienced in recent years in Italy, a season of continuing growth: to December 31, 2008 - Larry Smith data - there were 795 centers, with an average size of 4 percent more the previous year. But it is also true that to this important location some move specific "blames": some say that the format needs a renovation, that the anchor food trolling a number of shops pattern - mostly clothing - is now exceeded.
