New coupons to go on holiday
Starts again the initiative promoted by the Tourism Ministery called "Buone Vacanze" (Happy Holidays): from August 23rd till July 3rd 2011 numerous families or with low income could ask for new coupons to go on holiday, excluding the period from December 20th and January 6th, considered high season. In the first experimental phase of the project which lasted from the past January 20th till all June - the Ministery says - almost 7,000 families used the Coupons, creating about 5.5 millions of travel expenses; about 26,000 families have booked for a travel expense of about 26.6 millions euro. Moreover, "almost 4,500 structures and industry operators joined the system, including 4- and 5- star hotels". In the new decrete, a new evaluation criteria for the economic and familiar situation has been introduced, this checks the right to obtain the Coupons: no more the gross income, but the familiy's Isee income parameter, advantaging larger families. It has been increased the maximum of the payable contributions, till a maximum of 1,240 euro for families with 4 persons and more, and the already given Coupons' validity, expired the past June 30th, has been postponed till December 20th 2010.
