Founded the Feltrinelli franchise

A bookstores' network branded la Feltrinelli. This is the ambitious project of the historical editor, which since some weeks ago has started the first contacts with the potential franchisees and suppliers in order to present the new format. The goal is to open by 2010 the first franchised bookstore, first step for a reality thought to develop rapidly in the following years. It consists on integrated bookstores, with a wide assortment of books, which can be complemented with  other products, such as home videos, stationery, games, music, in the most advanced Feltrinelli Bookstores' format tradition. The brand will be the histirc one of Feltrinelli, declined on the specific franchise format, and the whole communication system inside the store will be equal to those of the Feltrinelli world too. At the same time, the franchised bookstores' management will be based on that of Feltrinelli: from the Plus Card (Carta Più) till the whole management and computer know-how. "Feltrinelli Bookstores has decided to start this new adventure in order to increase and speed up its development opportunities, making increasingly widespread its local roots and combining two main strenghts: the know-how and the brand power with the experience of expert booksellers, entrepreneurs who know very well the reality in which they operate and the public they are always in touch with", says the company.
